Kathy Hanley
Prevention Coordinator

After working in the business industry for over 14 years, Kathy has been affecting change in her community as a volunteer in several capacities. She has done great work within the New Fairfield public school system, St. Edward the Confessor Church, with Dr. Jefferson Wiggins author and public speaker and with the New Fairfield Prevention Council.  It was in her work with her local prevention council that Kathy discovered a passion for doing prevention within the community. Kathy was hired as Prevention Coordinator for HVCASA in December of 2015. Since that time she has been a valuable staff member at HVCASA, working effectively to promote health and wellness within our 22 town sub-region. She has already attended 2 weeks of the CADCA National Coalition Academy, an intensive training course, and the CADCA Leadership Forum.  Kathy has a BA in Communications Sciences from the University of Connecticut. She currently resides in New Fairfield with her husband Chip and her 2 sons, Kevin and Liam.
